Answer sheets of 71 MBA students missing; Kerala University covered up teacher's mistake

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Answer sheets of 71 MBA students taken for evaluation went missing from a teaching faculty. The bane of the heedless act from the faculty fell on the students as they are now instructed to appear for the same exams again.

The missing answer sheets were from the final semester project finance exam held in May 2024. These are the answer sheets of students from five colleges under the Kerala university. The responsible teacher said he lost the answer sheets from his bike while returning home after evaluation. The university has decided to take action against the teacher.

The Vice Chancellor will seek a report from the Registrar on the incident. Meanwhile, the university initially tried to cover up the teacher's lapse by announcing a re-examination without first explaining the reason. It was only after the incident came to light that the university decided to take action against the Palakkad native teacher.

Even ten months after the exam, the results were not announced. The exact reason came to light only recently. The students have made up their minds to not appear for exams again. Most of them are currently abroad with higher studies while others are caught up in dilemma not able to get into any job due to the lack of MBA certificate.
