Revolutionary songs at Kadakkal temple festival: Case registered against three including singer Aloshi

KOLLAM: Police have registered a case by naming singer Aloshi as the prime accused in the incident where revolutionary songs were sung during the temple festival in Kadakkal. The Kadakkal police registered the case based on a complaint lodged by Congress Mandalam President Anil Kumar. Two members of the temple advisory committee have also been named as accused in the case.

During the hearing today, the High Court stated that the police must clarify what action they intend to take regarding the incident. The Division Bench emphasized that the matter cannot be taken lightly, as offenses are evident in the case, and strict adherence to laws preventing the misuse of Hindu religious institutions must be ensured.

The court also directed the Travancore Devaswom Board to ensure that no prohibited activities take place within temple premises. The bench further questioned whether those youths whp were seen in visuals raising bottles and dancing in front of the stage could be considered true devotees.
