'He is undergoing treatment, I haven't called him yet, there is a reason for that'; Badusha about Mammootty's health

There had been various rumors circulating about megastar Mammootty’s health, which caused concern among his fans. Now, producer N. M. Badusha has responded to the speculation regarding the actor’s condition.

“I haven’t called him yet because I already know what’s going on. It’s not as serious as it's being made out to be. He has some minor health issues, just like any normal person would. He is undergoing treatment, and everything is fine. The real reason he wasn’t working on any projects was because he was fasting,” he said in an interview with a YouTube channel.

Actor Mohanlal had earlier addressed concerns about Mammootty’s health as well. “He’s doing well. He had a minor issue—something that can happen to anyone. That’s all. There’s nothing to worry about,” Mohanlal had said.

Recently, during a visit to Sabarimala, Mohanlal also offered an Ushapooja (early morning ritual) in Mammootty’s name. The offering was made under the name “Muhammad Kutty” (Mammootty’s real name), based on the Vishakham star sign. This too, stirred some controversy in certain circles.
