KOCHI: The Enforcement Directorate allowed industrialist and film producer Gokulam Gopalan to leave after six hours of questioning in the FEMA case. Gokulam Gopalan told the media that he had answered all the ED's questions.

“They asked questions because they were suspicious. They have the authority to do so,” said Gokulam Gopalan after coming out of questioning.

The ED summoned Gokulam Gopalan to their office in Kochi and questioned him. A few days ago, the ED raided Gokulam Gopalan's firm, Gokulam Chit Funds and questioned him. Today, Gopalan had to appear before the officials at around 12.40 pm. It is reported that Gopalan told ED officials of not involved in any irregularities despite being active in the Movie production business. Another news report said that ED officials seized Rs 1.5 crore from his office.

Earlier, in April 2023, Gokulam Gopalan was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate from morning to evening as part of an investigation into another case.
