KOCHI: Fifty LSD stamps smuggled from Mexico to Kochi via mail were seized by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Three individuals, including a Dutch national, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The parcel arrived at the Foreign Post Office in Ernakulam on March 29. Acting on a tip-off, NCB officials inspected the parcel and discovered 50 LSD stamps concealed within it. Based on the address, the parcel was delivered on April 3 to an apartment complex in Kadavanthra.

When the parcel recipient arrived to collect it, he, his accomplice, and a Dutch national were all apprehended from the apartment. Preliminary investigations suggest that the LSD smuggling is part of a larger international network operating across multiple countries.

The transactions were reportedly carried out through the dark web, and the investigation is ongoing to identify other individuals involved in the drug trafficking chain.
