Bitten by dog a month ago; 12-year-old girl dies of rabies in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A 12-year-old girl from Pullad has died due to rabies. She was reportedly bitten by a dog a month ago and had received the vaccine at that time. Last week, after returning from attending a wedding, she collapsed and became weak. She was first taken to a private hospital in Kozhencherry and then to Believers Church Medical College in Thiruvalla. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to a private hospital in Kochi, but she passed away last night.
