'Will call daily, he is the best'; Prabhudeva's former wife Ramlath opens up

Actor and veteran choreographer Prabhudeva’s tryst with Nayanthara during early 2010 gave heydays for gossip tabloids. The relationship resulted in tensions mounting between Prabhudeva and his then-wife, Ramlath. After the news got into a tabloid sensation, the couple separated. In a tragic irony, Prabhudeva-Nayanthara's relationship soon hit rock bottom, leaving the actress in the grip of a mental breakdown. Nayanthara soon took a hiatus from movies and returned two years later.

In a rare interview with an online portal, Prabhudeva’s former wife, Ramlath, opened up about unknown stories in her life:

“When such a situation occurs, we should be capable enough to face it and move on. Even after separating, Sir (Prabhudeva) remained my sole pillar of support. Sir loves our children. He continues to be friendly with them and will do anything for them. He is an excellent father; there is no questioning that.

We both speak daily and are still best friends. Prabhudeva is a man who never talks badly of anyone or raises his voice. I don’t know what happened, but something didn’t work between us.

My elder son has been practicing dance for two years now. The moment I saw him sharing the stage with Prabhudeva, sir… I don’t have words to explain it. It is in his blood.”

Many comments appeared before the video blaming Nayanthara for ruining Ramlath’s life. The interview is now going viral across Tamil Nadu.

Prabhudeva is now married to Himani Singh, a physiotherapist.
