NEW DELHI: Seema Singh's husband, Anil Kumar, has been arrested in connection with her murder after her body was discovered in a drain in New Delhi. The 47-year-old woman was found wrapped in a bedsheet, and evidence from a nose pin uncovered the crime. Police found that the nose pin, purchased from a jeweller in South Delhi, was linked to Anil Kumar.
On March 15, the body was weighed down using jute bags and cement. During questioning, Anil Kumar gave conflicting statements. He initially claimed that Seema had gone on a long trip and had left her phone behind, which raised police suspicions. When contacted, Seema's mother and her sister Babitha revealed that they had not heard from Seema since March 11. Babitha shared that Kumar had told her Seema was in Jaipur and did not want to talk.
Seema's body was found on April 1 and was later identified by her mother, sister, and son. Police concluded the murder took place in the couple's house in Dwarka, Delhi. Kumar's aide, Shivshankar, has also been arrested in the case. Authorities stated that Kumar needs to undergo further interrogation to uncover the motive behind the murder.
