Body of woman found in water tank of vacant house in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: A body of an unidentified woman was found in the water tank of a vacant house in Athippatta, Valanchery. The body was found in the tank behind the house. The house has been locked for months as the owner is abroad. Only the security guard is there.

A turtle is being raised in the tank and the workers who came to feed it found the body. The locals said the woman is unknown to the area. A police team led by Valancherry circle inspector Basheer Chirakkal has reached the spot. Inquest proceedings have been initiated. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
