TEXAS: The all-female space mission has become a historic success. Blue Origin's NS31 space mission successfully completed and returned with six women, including singer Katy Perry. The spacecraft traveled through the Karman Line between Earth and space and returned to Earth. The mission lasted about ten minutes.
Blue Origin 31 will be known for its multi-member crew, all of whom are women. The other members of the crew were American journalist Gayle King, former NASA scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, and journalist Lauren Sanchez. The historic feat was achieved by, Blue Origin, led by billionaire Jeff Bezos.
The spacecraft was launched at 7:30 p.m. Monday from Blue Origin's facility in Texas. The crew spent time in a suborbital orbit, about 100 kilometers above Earth. Katy Perry responded by saying that her journey would be an inspiration to others and her daughter. “This is for the little girl in me who always looked up at the stars and wondered, 'What if?" Perry said. Lauren Sanchez said that her space trip was not what she expected.
