Air hostess on ventilator sexually assaulted, case against staff

CHANDIGARH: A case has been registered against an employee for sexually abusing an air hostess undergoing treatment in a hospital. A staff of the hospital sexually abused a 46-year-old woman undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Gurugram. The woman has filed a complaint with the police. The complainant told police that the accused sexually abused her while she was unconscious on the ventilator.

The woman was in Gurugram for her work-related training. The woman, who was staying in a hotel, met with an accident in the swimming pool. Following this, the woman was admitted to a nearby hospital. After her health deteriorated, her husband intervened and shifted her to another private hospital. The complainant alleged that she was abused in this hospital. The woman in her complaint said that she was unable to respond due to her poor health at the time of the incident.

The woman narrated the ordeal to her husband after she was discharged from the hospital on April 13. Her husband informed the authorities by calling the helpline number 112. They lodged a complaint at the Sadar police. An investigation into the incident is underway. The police informed that they have examined the hospital's CCTV and questioned the employee.
