Actor and director Alleppey Ashraf delved deep into the relationship between Kalyani Priyadarshan and Pranav Mohanlal. He also spoke on how Kalyani was raised by her parents, Priyadarshan and Lissy.
ALLEPPEY ASHRAF:
“It is worth noting the life perspectives of Kalyani Priyadarshan and her brother Siddharth. Despite having access to all luxury, their parents made sure to teach their kids to be grounded in life. Kalyani and Siddharth were exposed to ordinary life and espoused this trait their whole life. When the two children grew older, their parents opted for an orphanage in Vietnam and made the duo stay there with other children for 10 days.
In one interview, Lissy has opened up about how Siddharth used to wear torn shirts not bothering to get a new one. It says a lot about the upbringing.
Lissy and Priyadarshan separated after long years of marriage but made sure not to inflict the pain of splitting to their children. Siddharth graduated in architecture from the United States. Siddharth now manages Priyadarshan's studio Four Frames. Kalyani on the other side, started earning from a very young age and bought and flat and a car with her own money.
After studying abroad, Kalyani became interested in artwork in films. Thus, through art director Sabu Cyril, she became an art assistant in the film ‘Irumugham’, starring Nayanthara and Vikram in the lead roles. It was from this film set that she got an offer to star in a Telugu movie. It was a different domain from her liking but she gave it a try.
Amidst this came a truckload of online news about Kalyani already getting married in an intimate function. Some people are curious to know about Kalyani’s purported relationship with Mohanlal’s son Pranav.
To kill the curiosity, I asked Lissy and her response was neverthless quirky and revealing. Lissy said both families would be extremely happy if the couple united. In reality, both of them carry a sibling-like relationship and nothing more. Lissy also confirmed about Pranav having a relationship with a German woman.
