Many people love paneer dishes, but a recent video by YouTuber Sarthak Sachdevva has sparked concern. The YouTuber recently released a video questioning the quality of paneer served in some of Mumbai's most glamorous, celebrity-owned restaurants.

Sarthak conducted tests to find out whether the paneer served in these restaurants was genuine or adulterated. His experimental video began at Virat Kohli's 'One8 Commune'. He then visited Shilpa Shetty's Bastian and Bobby Deol's 'Someplace Else'. He ordered paneer-based dishes at each of these restaurants and used iodine and other methods to test for adulteration.

While the paneer from the first three restaurants did not raise any major concerns, things took a dramatic turn at Torii, owned by Gauri Khan. In the video, the paneer darkens when iodine is applied, leading many to speculate that the paneer might be fake or adulterated.

However, hotel authorities responded by stating that Torii is a high-end restaurant. They clarified, "The iodine test doesn't indicate the purity of paneer, but rather the presence of starch. Since some of our dishes contain soya-based ingredients, this kind of reaction can occur. Our paneer is pure."
