People going out at night be careful; rain, thunderstorm alert in eight districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of rain in eight districts in the state in the next three hours. According to the notification issued at 7 pm, moderate rain with thunder is possible in isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Wayanad districts. There is also a possibility of strong winds with a speed of up to 40 km per hour, the India Meteorological Department said in the notification.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has also informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in isolated places in Kerala today (17/04/2025) and tomorrow (18/04/2025). There is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph on the 19th and 20th April. The India Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of thunderstorms on the 21st.
