"I don't do drugs; I ran away from hotel because I was afraid someone was coming to attack me": More details of actor Shine Tom Chacko's statement

KOCHI: More details of actor Shine Tom Chacko's statement have been released. "I did not know that it was the police who had come to the hotel looking for me. I came to know that it was the DANSAF team only the next morning," said Shine Tom Chacko in his statement.

"I had no intention of fooling the police. I ran away because I was afraid that someone had come to attack me. I do not use drugs. I have no connection with drug dealers," the actor told the police.

Shine Tom Chacko's interrogation has been going on for an hour. The interrogation is being led by two ACPs. Although the actor has three phones, only one was produced. Shine's phone records were also produced for interrogation. The police assess that if any evidence is found in this, the conspiracy charge will stand, and Shine can be taken into custody. The actor may be subjected to a medical examination.

The actor reached Ernakulam North Police Station at around 10 am this morning. The actor did not respond to the media. It is reported that the police are asking Shine 32 questions, including why he ran away from the hotel in Kochi during the DANSAF inspection.

Yesterday, the police had issued a notice to Shine at his house, asking him to appear for questioning. The police delivered the notice at his house in Thrissur after calling Shine on the phone but not getting through. Since the actor was not at home at the time, his father CP Chacko received the notice.
