Actress Mala Parvathy asked film stars not to take frivolous jokes exchanged at the set seriously. She was responding to actress Vincy Aloysius' complaint about actor Shine Tom Chacko misbehaving with her on the film set.

The response was given on a YouTube channel.

MALA PARVATHY:

“These people seldom understand jokes. Yesterday, I heard an actress saying she fell into stress over a co-actor joking that he would accompany her into the dressing room if allowed. The actress reacted as if her life had been turned upside down by this comment. A simple jibe in return would have made the situation cool. Why is there a need to take all these jokes seriously?

If this is the trend, women will never be able to survive in this industry.

It is common in the industry for people to ask for women actors and technicians to accompany them, share bed and go for an outing. These can be dealt with differently. Women should have the skill to tackle the situation. A simple no for an answer would be enough.

Morphing it into a big issue would leave you with a dismal feeling. It may seem like everyone is attacking you for opening up.”

Vincy Aloshious recently opened up about an actor misbehaving with her at a film set, under the influence of drugs.
