Man commits suicide after setting house on fire in Kollam

KOLLAM: A man committed suicide after setting his house on fire in Anchal. The man identified as Vinod of Eroor set his house on fire by releasing gas from LPG cylinder. Vinod was drunk when setting his house on fire and ending his life. He was found hanging when the police reached the spot.

Vinod always creates problems at home after drunk. Neighbors, relatives and locals all confirm this. He created problems at home the other day in an inebriated condition. He had attacked his wife Latha and she sustained injuries on her hand. When Vinod came home last night, the family members got scared and went out and informed the police.

When the police reached the spot, Vinod locked the door. He then set the house on fire after releasing gas. Vinod was found hanging when the police entered and brought the fire under control. The Eroor police have started a detailed investigation into the incident.
