'Body found in sitting position near cowshed'; Elderly woman found dead in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: An elderly woman was found dead with her throat slit in Anakkampoil Thiruvambady on Monday. Karimbin Purayidathil Rosamma (65) was found dead in the incident. The body was found in a sitting position in a chair near the cowshed.

Rosamma's body was found by her family this morning. The police doubt this to be a case of suicide. Rosamma lived with her son and daughter-in-law. It is suspected that Rosamma may have cut her wrist and come to the cowshed. She took a seat in the chair and slit her throat.

Thiruvambady police and a dog squad reached the spot and conducted an investigation. After the inquest proceedings, the body was shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
