Six Malayalees in top 100 ranks in civil services examination

NEW DELHI: The results of the civil services examination have been published. The first two ranks are for women. Shakti Dubey of Uttar Pradesh secured the first rank. Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archit Parag secured the second and third ranks. Six Malayalees, including five women, are in top hundred ranks.


Alfred Thomas (33), Malavika G Nair (45th rank), Nandana (47th rank), Sonnet Jose (54th rank), Reenu Anna Mathew (81st rank) and Devika Priyadarshini (95th rank) are the Malayalees included in top hundred ranks.

Malavika of Malappuram is appearing in the civil services list for the third time. She appeared for the Mains exam within days of giving birth. She is presently an IRS official. Malavika said that she continued studies with the desire to become an IAS officer. Malavika's husband is an IPS officer.


Nandana, who got 47th rank is from Kottarakkara. She made it to the rank list in her second attempt. Nandana responded that she could not clear the prelims in the first attempt and that hard work and help of her teachers were the reason for her brilliant success.


1009 people have made it to the list. The main exam was held last September. The interviews were held from January to April.
