KOTTAYAM: Amit of Assam, the accused in the Thiruvathukkal double murder case, has been arrested. He was arrested from Thrissur’s Mala. Meanwhile, he was arrested for stealing the phones of Vijayakumar and his wife and used them to extort money. He was in jail for five and a half months in this case. When he was in jail, his wife had deserted him. It is believed that enmity due to this may have led him to commit the murders.
