Congress MLA M Vincent's driver assaulted: KAAPA case accused arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nemom police have arrested the man who was absconding in the incident of attacking M. Vincent MLA's driver and friend. The search is on for another accused. Subhash (48), a native of Aruvacode, Pappanamcode Estate, has been arrested. The MLA's driver Vinod and his friend Akhil, a native of Balaramapuram Kodinada, were the victims of the attack. Subhash is an accused in cases including the Kaapa, police said.

The incident took place around 7 pm on Monday evening near a tea stall at Pappanamcode Estate Junction. Vinod and Akhil had come out on a bike to have tea. That's when two men attacked Vinod and Akhil, demanding that they move their bike. According to the complaint filed with the Nemom police, the attackers tore Vinod's shirt, snatched his mobile phone and damaged his bike.
