NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met President Droupadi Murmu in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack. Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also attended the meeting. Minding India’s diplomatic retaliation, Pakistan closed its airspace. The President was officially informed of these matters.
Home Minister Amit Shah had visited Pahalgam the other day and briefed the President about the situation there. External Affairs Ministry officials briefed ambassadors of more than 20 countries, including Germany, Japan, Poland, the UK and Russia, about the Pahalgam attack.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Pahalgam terror attack is a wound to the soul of the country. At an event in Bihar, Modi said that those who carried out the attack and those who conspired will be severely punished. He had stated that India will fight terrorism unitedly and will give them unimaginable punishment.
PM Modi described the attack as a cowardly and inhumane act and said the entire country shares the pain of the families of the deceased.
