Elderly man trampled to death by wild elephant in Wayanad

WAYANAD: Wayanad yet again witnessed a wild tusker attack on Thursday. The incident took place in Erumakkolli, Wayanad, while Arumukhan, a local native, was trampled to death by the pachyderm.

Wild tuskers frequent Erumakkolli, the place populated by the giants. As per reports, Arumukhan died on the spot. Police are working on ways to retrieve the body.

Earlier, too, there were reports of wild tusker attack in Erumakkolli and adjacent areas.
