Three students of private engineering college in Chennai drown while bathing in Aliyar dam

PALAKKAD: Three students drowned while bathing in the Aliyar dam. The dead were Dharun, Revanth and Anto, students of a private engineering college in Chennai. The students were swept away by the strong currents while bathing in the dam. A group of students reached the dam this morning. Those with them informed the police, fire force and locals when they drowned. The bodies of the students have been shifted to a hospital in Pollachi. The bodies will be handed over to the relatives after postmortem.
