Attention passengers; four trains will be diverted, one service cancelled

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian Railways has announced that it will impose traffic restrictions on April 26 to replace the girder of the railway bridge between Thiruvalla and Changanassery stations. It has been informed that some services will be cancelled and diverted from 7.55 pm.

Cancelled

Train number 66310 Kollam Junction - Ernakulam Junction MEMU Express, which was scheduled to depart from Kollam Junction at 9.05 pm, has been cancelled.

Diverted trains

  1. Train No. 16319 Thiruvananthapuram North - SMVT Bengaluru Humsafar Express departing from Thiruvananthapuram North at 6.05 pm. It will be diverted between Kayamkulam Junction and Ernakulam Town and will travel via Alappuzha. Stops at Chengannur and Kottayam have been omitted and additional stops have been temporarily allowed at Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction.
  2. Train No. 16629 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Mangalore Central Malabar Express departing from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 6.40 pm will be diverted between Kayamkulam and Ernakulam Town and will operate via Alappuzha. Scheduled stops at Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Piravom Road and Tripunithura have been omitted and additional temporary stops have been allowed at Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam junctions.
  3. Train No. 16347. Thiruvananthapuram Central - Mangalore Central Express departing from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 20.55 will be diverted between Kayamkulam and Ernakulam Town. The train will operate via Alappuzha. Scheduled stops at Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery and Kottayam have been omitted and additional temporary stops have been allowed at Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha and Cherthala.
  4. Amrita Express No. 16343 departing from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Madurai Junction at 20.30. It will be diverted between Kayamkulam and Ernakulam Town. The stops at Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery and Kottayam have been omitted and additional stops at Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha and Cherthala have been temporarily allowed.

Partially Cancelled

  1. Train No. 16327. Madurai Junction - Guruvayur Express departing at 11.35 am will terminate its service at Kollam Junction. The train will be partially cancelled between Kollam and Guruvayur.
  2. Train No. 16328 Guruvayur - Madurai Junction Express scheduled to depart at 05.50 am. The service will start from Kollam at 12.10 pm on April 27. The train will be partially cancelled between Guruvayur and Kollam.
