NEW DELHI: KM Abraham has approached the Supreme Court against the CBI investigation into allegations of illegal amassment of wealth. The Kerala High Court order for a CBI investigation should be stayed. In the petition filed through Advocate G Prakash, KM Abraham pointed out that Jomon Puthanpuraikkal's personal enmity with him is behind the petitions. Meanwhile, the complainant Jomon Puthanpuraikkal has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court. Jomon has asked that a decision not be taken without hearing his side.

Abraham's arguments

  1. Prior permission of the government is necessary under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
  2. The complaint is based on speculation without evidence
  3. The allegation was earlier rejected by the Vigilance Court
  4. The allegation of disproportionate assets is untrue
  5. The flats in Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram were purchased on loans
  6. The land in Kollam Kadapakkada is family inherited
