Prajusha, once a regular presence in serial and television comedy shows, is now deprived of opportunities. The former actress opened up about the persisting ordeals in her life. Prajusha was speaking to a YouTube channel.
Prajusha:
"There was a time when I used to shuttle between Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai for shooting. In the past, there were limited actors in serials so only the lead pair used to change in different serials while the other casts were retained. Those days are long gone and no opportunity is now coming my way.
And now, the makers are rooting on the new cast for their serials, which have terribly affected the old loyalists in the business.
My husband Kumar Nanda is a film director, hailing from a financially well-off family. He is a generous man who would blindly trust anyone.
The film 'Life of Josutty', starring Dileep, still pains us. The script was by Kumar Nanda, initially titled “Josuttiyude Suvishesham”. Kumar wanted to direct the film and a producer came up. The shoot took off in Sri Lanka but a civil war-like situation erupted in the country leaving the crew helpless. The producer suffered huge losses and the project was shelved.
Soon, the producer contacted Kumar Nanda informing him that he had roped in director Jeethu Joseph for the project. Kumar was asked generously to give rights to the script which he did minding the tough times the producer went through in Sri Lanka.
Even today, not many know that the script belongs to Kumar Nanda. The sincerity shown by my husband went unrewarded. I decided to hold a press conference to spill out the truth about the movie, but my husband stopped me”
