Information that terrorists behind Pahalgam terror attack are on board; checks at Colombo airport

COLOMBO: The terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam terror attack are suspected to be on board a flight from Chennai. A detailed search was conducted at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. The search was performed on a Sri Lankan Airlines flight. The search was carried out following a notification from the Chennai Area Control Center.

The search was carried out by a joint team of Sri Lankan police, Sri Lankan Air Force and security officials. The search was carried out on a flight that arrived in Colombo from Chennai at around 12 noon. Sri Lankan Airlines issued a press release in this regard. The airline stated that the search was being carried out on the flight for a suspect who is being investigated in India.
