Student dies after scooter loses control and hits post

PALAKKAD: A student was killed in an accident in Vallapuzha. The victim has been identified as Dijeesha. The accident happened after her scooter lost control and hit the post in Kuruvattoor.

Meantime, a passenger of an auto was killed in the accident that happened in the capital city early Sunday morning at 3.30 am. He died after the auto caught fire when vehicles collided at Pattom in Thiruvananthapuram. The dead is 40-year-old Suni. The accident happened in front of St Mary’s School in Pattom.

The over speeded car collided with a bike and an auto. Eye witnesses said the auto caught fire in the impact of the collision. The car was driven by Ayaan (19) of Gandhipuram. The injured has been admitted to the hospital. The medical college police reached the spot and took the steps. Police said forensic team will examine the situation that led the auto to catch fire.

Meanwhile, four Malayalees of Thiruvananthapuram were killed in a collision between an omni van and a bus in Thiruvarur. The incident happened at Thiruvarur in Chennai. The dead were identified as Rainath, Rajesh, Sajith and Rahul of Balaramapuram in Thiruvananthapuram. Rejeenath of Kanjiramkulam, Sabu and Sunil of Nellimoodu in Thiruvananthapuram, have been admitted to a nearby government hospital with serious injuries. They had gone on a pilgrimage yesterday.
