THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The brewing KPCC president issue is feared to derail Congress's attempt to wrest back power in Nilambur. Incumbent president Sudhakaran slammed the media and naysayers within his party, much to the chagrin of the high command.
“A group and their leader are working hard to make me redundant in the Congress. I’m not revealing who they are.” Said Sudhakaran.
The issue heated up again when the Congress President and leader Rahul Gandhi summoned K Sudhakaran to Delhi for discussions. Sudhakaran is unlikely to budge for the time being. The Kannur leader clarified that no one has asked him to step down from the post. Sudhakaran had stated the other day that his goal is to remove Pinarayi Vijayan from power.
As per rumours, Pathanamthitta MP Anto Antony or Sunny Joseph is likely to replace Sudhakaran as the new KPCC president. Meanwhile, posters appeared at the Aluva bus stand against both these leaders running for the presidency.
The poster titled "Save Congress" called both these leaders unpopular and not fit to helm affairs in KPCC.
