THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan disclosed his exchange with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the commissioning ceremony of the Vizhinjam International Port.
“The PM ended his speech on a high note reminding about the ideal time for the state and central government to work together. I thanked him for his visit and appreciated the way he ended the speech. The PM responded with a smile but said nothing to me. People, aware of the current political scenario, would easily get what that smile meant. We are now going through gruelling times, with people supposed to help, leaving us in a quandary.” Said CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
“Many things earlier deemed impossible have become a reality during LDF tenure. There is a situation where the central share in joint projects is shrinking. The state has to bear 70 per cent,” the Chief Minister was speaking at a district-level meeting in Palakkad.
