NEW DELHI: The Union Home Ministry issued a warning to states in the wake of the escalating India-Pakistan tension following the Pahalgam attack. The directive is to train the public and conduct mock drills in the states to deal with emergencies. The directive has been given to conduct mock drills in various states on May 7.
It has also been proposed to install air raid warning sirens. The public, including students, should be trained to ensure self-defence in the event of an attack. The Ministry of Home Affairs also directed that steps be prepared to protect important buildings, factories and plants.
