NEW DELHI: Reports said Prime Minister Narendra Modi monitored India's retaliatory strike targeting terror camps in Pakistan. National media reported that Modi monitored the operation throughout the night. He was briefed by chief of defence staff, senior intelligence officers and national security advisor Ajit Doval. India attacked the centers of severe terrorists.
Over 80 terrorists were killed in the attack. The attack was aimed only at terrorists. The Indian army retaliated at nine locations, which are known to be terrorist hideouts. There are media reports in Pakistan that attacks were carried out in Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli and Muridke.
The army announced this military operation as 'Justice done, Jai Hind'. The Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 people, was on April 22. India later announced that it would give a strong response to Pakistan. It has now given a response under the name of Operation Sindoor.
Meanwhile, the country is on high alert. Five airports on the border have been closed. People on the border are being shifted to bunkers. India has also issued a warning to airspace in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab following the military operation.
