NEW DELHI: Following the Indian retaliation, services from various airports in North India were suspended. Several flights were cancelled and some were diverted. Foreign flights are avoiding Pakistani airspace due to the threat of war.

Airports in Dharamsala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, Amritsar, and Chandigarh, close to the Pakistan border, will be closed under further notice. IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India and Air India Express have cancelled their flights. Air India had cancelled all flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot till Wednesday afternoon.

IndiGo has cancelled around 160 domestic flights till yesterday morning. 20 flights of various airlines from Delhi airport have also been cancelled.

All schools in Punjab's Ferozepur, Pathankot and Amritsar districts bordering Pakistan were closed indefinitely. No educational institution in the five border districts of Jammu province functioned on Wednesday.
