JAIPUR: The district administration has tightened security in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur after Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. News agencies reported that district collector Gaurav Agarwal has ordered to close all government, private schools and Anganwadis of Jodhpur till further orders. Apart from Jodhpur Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Barmer will remain closed as a precautionary measure in Rajasthan.

Jodhpur is on high alert in the wake of Pakistan's continuous ceasefire violations. As per the orders of the home ministry, mock drills were organized in various cities of Rajasthan yesterday. The first phase of the mock drill was held at 4 pm. Power supply was completely disconnected from 8:30 pm to 8:45 pm. Security officials had instructed to turn off the headlights of vehicles. Train services were also stopped for 15 minutes to express solidarity with the mock drill.

In retaliation to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India successfully carried out Operation Sindoor Wednesday morning. Nine Pakistani terror camps were destroyed. India's counter-attack targeted Jaish-e-Mohammad, Lashkar and Hizbul terrorist camps. In addition to the Abbas terror camp (Markaz Abbas), the Indian Army destroyed the following terror camps through airstrikes-- Markaz Subhanallah, Markaz Taiba, Sarjal/Tehra Kalan, Mahmuna Juya, Markaz Ahle Hadith, Maskar Raheel Shahid, Shawai Nallah, and Markaz Syedina Bilal.
