ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has admitted the loss of warplanes it sent to attack India in Jammu. The country confirmed that two of its JF-17 fighter jets were shot down by India. The statement came from the Director General of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistani online media reported that India’s counterattack in Pakistan's Eastern Command area caused significant damage. The drone and missile attacks carried out by Pakistan last night targeted Indian military installations in Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia sectors of Jammu. In retaliation, Indian aircraft reportedly struck military bases in Lahore and Islamabad. There are also reports suggesting that a Pakistani AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) aircraft was destroyed in the missile attack.
Suicide attacks?
Unconfirmed reports have emerged of suicide attacks near military installations in Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) and Pathankot (Punjab). Intelligence agencies had earlier warned that Pakistan might attempt suicide attacks using terrorists.
