The Pakistani military said the blasts took place at three air force bases - Nur Khan, Murid and Rafiqui - in Rawalpindi, a key location close to the country's military headquarters, just 10 kilometres from Islamabad.
Some videos showing the Nur Khan airbase on fire are circulating in Pakistani media and on social media. Nur Khan is the largest and most important air force base in Pakistan. It was previously known as Chaklala Air Base. Despite many videos emerging, the veracity of the news is still in question.
