WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has confirmed that India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire. He has confirmed this through his social media page. "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence," Trump wrote.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's talks with both countries today became crucial. Marco Rubio had spoken to the Indian Foreign Minister and the Pakistani Army Chief. Meanwhile, Marco Rubio also posted on X that he and US Vice President JD Vance had held talks with India and Pakistan.

International intervention was active to ease the escalating India-Pakistan tension. In addition to Marco Rubio's talks with the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan, Saudi Arabia had also come forward with a consensus move to end the military confrontation. China had also repeatedly urged both countries to try for peace.
