'Kantara: chapter 1' actor Rakesh Poojary collapses during wedding function, dies

Reality show Comedy Khiladigalu 3 winner and famous Kannada actor Rakesh Poojary passed away last night due to a heart attack. He was 34. Rakesh was attending a mehndi ceremony as part of a wedding in Udupi when he reportedly collapsed.

The Instagram story of the mehendi function which the actor put on his social media page is still running. As per some reports, Rakesh was chatting with his friends when he suddenly collapsed on the floor. Despite being rushed to hospital; his life could not be saved.

Meanwhile, Rakesh had completed filming his portions for Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, a prequel to the super hit franchise. Rakesh amassed massive popularity across Karnataka after he emerged victorious in the Comedy Khiladigalu 3 in 2020.

Rakesh, a native of Karkala, Udupi has appeared in many movies, both in Kannada and in Tulu. The youngster leaves behind his sister and mother.
