NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated India's victory in Operation Sindoor to the women of the country. The Prime Minister was addressing the nation for the first time after Operation Sindoor. The Prime Minister saluted the forces for the victory in Operation Sindoor and praised the soldiers for their extraordinary courage and performance on the battlefield.
Modi saluted everyone who was a part of Operation Sindoor.
"What happened in Pahalgam was an unparalleled atrocity. 26 innocent people were shot dead by terrorists in front of their mothers, wives and children. The terrorists carried out the attack in the name of religion. Operation Sindoor is not just a name, it reflected the feelings of crores of people in the country. India responded to the Pahalgam attack by entering the terrorist training center in Pakistan. India reduced the global terrorist centres of Bawalpur and Muridke to ruins. The headquarters of terrorism have disappeared," the Prime Minister added.
In his first address to the nation after Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "I dedicate this valour, courage and bravery (of the armed forces) to every mother of our country, every sister of the country, every daughter of the country,"
Referring to Pakistan without saying the name directly, PM Modi said that India will not see terrorist leaders and the governments sheltering them as separate entities. He added that India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Modi said that when Indian missiles and drones targeted terror camps, it was not just buildings that were destroyed, but also the courage of the adversaries.
Modi said that India's armed forces have carried out precision strikes on terrorist hideouts and training camps in Pakistan. He said that terrorists could not even dream that India would take such a bold decision. He added that when a nation stands united and is guided by the spirit of 'nation first', it can take decisions as strong as steel and achieve powerful results.
This is the first time Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the nation after the completion of Operation Sindoor. A high-level meeting was held at the Prime Minister's residence yesterday to review the situation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, IB and RAW directors, among others, attended the meeting.
