NEW DELHI: Air India has also cancelled flights in the wake of India-Pakistan tensions. Flights from six airports were cancelled after Pakistani drones were spotted. Services from Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Rajkot, Jodhpur, Srinagar and Chandigarh were suspended.
IndiGo had also cancelled flights yesterday following the sighting of Pakistani drones. Services to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar and Rajkot airports were suspended. IndiGo said the action is keeping in mind the safety of passengers in view of the latest developments.
Pakistani drones appeared again on the border after the Chief of Army Staff decided to continue the ceasefire and the Prime Minister gave a strong warning against terrorism. The drones arrived on the borders of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.
The drones were first seen in Samba in Jammu and Kashmir at around 10 pm last night. There was a provocation at Amritsar in Punjab later. The Indian army destroyed all these. Lights were switched off and caution was maintained in border villages. The flight to Amritsar was diverted.
Pakistan's provocation using drones comes after a gap of a day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made it clear in his address to the nation the other day that Operation Sindoor against Pakistan has not ended. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave a stern warning that the nuclear threat is not needed here and that the future of Pakistan, which supports terrorists, will depend on its behavior.
