Santhosh Varkey, popularly known as "Arattannan", was recently released on bail in a case related to derogatory remarks made about actresses. Now, actress Maya Viswanath has shared her experience with him.
Maya spoke about the incident through her YouTube channel.
"I received a call at night. The Truecaller ID showed the name Santhosh Varkey. I usually answer all calls as I'm confident that I can handle anything. When I asked who it was, he said it was 'Arattannan'. I didn't understand at first, so I asked if he was someone who acted in Mohanlal's movie Aaraattu. He said no, but added that everyone calls him by that nickname. When I asked for his real name, he said it was Santhosh Varkey.
When I asked him the reason for his call, he said he just wanted to get to know me. Then he asked if I was standing outside Vanitha Theatre. I told him that hanging around in front of a theatre isn’t something I do. He then remarked that I looked like a goddess, to which I responded by asking if he had ever seen a goddess in real life.
After that, I contacted some people who are active on social media to inquire about him. They warned me, saying, ‘Don’t answer his calls, he’s a headache.’ That’s when I found out he’s the same person who goes around saying he wants to marry Nithya Menen, Manju Warrier, and Aishwarya Lekshmi,” Maya said.
