With just 770 runs away from reaching the milestone of 10,000 runs in Test cricket, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket. It was shocking nevertheless for his legion of loyal fans. It wouldn't have taken 36-year-old Virat much longer to reach that goal, but the star who led the Indian Test team to the most wins in a row decided to call it a day.
After announcing retirement, Virat made his first public appearance the other day with his wife Anushka. Their first visit was to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh. The two visited the ashram of Premanand Ji Maharaj. Pictures of this are circulating on social media.
A video of Anushka and Kohli arriving at the ashram in a car has also surfaced. It is reported that they reached Vrindavan at around 7 am.
On Premanand Ji Maharaj’s query on whether he was happy, Kohli replied he was fine. Kohli had visited the ashram before in 2023 and 2025.
