NEW DELHI: India expelled a Pakistani High Commission employee in Delhi on charges of espionage and has directed the High Commission's Charge d'Affaires to leave India within 24 hours.
The Ministry of External Affairs termed the staff as persona non grata for engaging in activities, not fit for his official role. Meanwhile, information emerged that the expelled staff had links with Pakistan's spy agency ISI.
The staff's role came to light when two were arrested by Punjab Police on Sunday for passing information about Indian military movements to Pakistan. Both had received money online for providing confidential information
