Father's reverse driving turns tragic as toddler dies in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: A toddler died after being run over by a van in reverse gear in a tragic incident in Kottayam last evening. Devapriya, just one and a half years old, saw her father coming in the van and went towards the vehicle without anyone noticing. Bibin Das, father of the child, was about to park his pick-up van when the toddler reached the rear of the vehicle unnoticed.

The baby was immediately taken to the hospital in Thellakom. She died on Wednesday afternoon while undergoing treatment. The funeral will be held tomorrow.
