'What a statement to make at this hour'; Major Ravi about Akhil Marar issue

Director Major Ravi lashed out strongly against reality show winner Akhil Marar, who made anti-national remarks on social media during the India-Pakistan conflict. In an interview allowed to a YouTube channel, Major Ravi opened up about the matter.

MAJOR RAVI:

“Akhil Marar is my friend. I don’t know what made him give such a statement. It is a common nous to talk sense during an event such as war. Statements like what Akhil made will be undoubtedly considered Anti-national. This is not an ordinary situation.

Just see how the opposition refrained from criticising the government during this time. Because we are witnessing a war-like situation and people should not take it lightly.”

The police registered a case against Akhil Marar based on a complaint filed by a BJP leader regarding his remarks. The FIR states that Akhil acted intending to hurt the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country. The complaint was filed by BJP Kottarakkara constituency president Aneesh Kizhakkekara.
