THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Satellite images of India's attack on 11 Pakistani air bases as part of Operation Sindoor were made available to the army in higher resolution by Neyyattinkkara native Kris Nair's space tech start-up 'Kawa Space'. Such start-ups analyze the images released by ISRO from satellites using advanced software and reveal detailed information.
When Pakistan called the Indian claim of attacking their airbases fake, the military countered those lies by sharing stunning satellite images shared by Kris Nair on the X handle of 'Kawa Space'. The startup provided an accurate picture of the damage done inside the Pakistani border. These images increased the credibility of India's military actions and provided visual evidence of the damage.
Last Sunday evening, Kris Nair shared a satellite image of the Kirana Hills in Pakistan's Punjab province on social media. Kris Nair's post came amid Pakistan gloating about housing nuclear facilities in the region.
Kris showed the world the images analyzed by his space tech startup with the mysterious caption, "What are you hiding in the black hills?"
There were rumours that Pakistan was preparing for nuclear tests here. There were also reports of a nuclear leak in the area during Operation Sindoor. These images, shared with trusted websites such as Alpha Defense, a community of experts in the fields of defence, aerospace, and geopolitics, played a crucial role in assessing each phase of Operation Sindoor.
Kawa Space released the satellite images in collaboration with fellow Bengaluru-based startup Kepler Aerospace.
