12 people including children injured in stray dog attack in Chalakudy

THRISSUR: 12 people, including children, sustained injuries after being bitten by a stray dog in Koodapuzha in Chalakudy. The injured people have been admitted to the Chalakudy Medical College and Thrissur Medical College. The injured people are Vettukadavu natives Joby, Sruthin (26), Meloor native Seena Joseph, Chalakudy natives Liji Benny, Abhinandav (13), Joel Sojan (17), Davis (62), KS Nandika and Koodapuzha native Angel Bijo (13).

The dog also attacked individuals who were travelling on motorbikes. It is suspected that the dog could be rabid, though this has not yet been confirmed. Municipality opposition leader CS Suresh said that the stray dog menace in the area is severe.
