Did not allow to see mother; drunk man sets hospital's AC plant on fire

MULAGUNNATHUKAVU: A drunkard, enraged at not being allowed to see his mother who is undergoing treatment, set fire to the rented AC plants at Thrissur Medical College Hospital. The Medical College Principal has filed a complaint with the police against Jyotish Kumar, a native of Kalletumkara, in the incident. The incident took place early yesterday morning.

Jyotish Kumar, who had come drunk to see his mother who is undergoing treatment, was stopped by security staff. He then broke the glass door of the Alumni Hall, which is 500 meters away. Then the violent drunkard created panic in the hospital premises with a hammer. He broke the gas cylinders of three AC plants with a hammer and set them on fire. There was a loss of about five lakh rupees.

Meanwhile, Jyotish Kumar also tried to attack Lohitakshan, a security guard of the Alumni Hall, with a hammer. Lohitakshan did not get hit as he ran away. The fire was put out by the fire force. Jyotish Kumar set fire to the ACs that were rented for a program to be held at the Alumni Hall. Jyotish Kumar, who injured his hand while breaking the glass, was caught by security personnel and handed over to the police. He is undergoing treatment at the Medical College.
