Jyoti knows every part of Pakistan, close relationship with official, spying with precise planning

NEW DELHI: The police arrested an Indian YouTuber on charges of spying and passing sensitive information to Pakistan. Jyoti Malhotra alias Jyoti Rani (33) of Hisar in Haryana running a YouTube channel ‘Travel with Jo', was arrested the other day. Reports said Jyoti passed important information to Pakistani intelligence. With this, the investigation team is scrutinizing each video shared by Jyoti on YouTube. Jyoti has also shared a video of herself participating in an event at the Pakistan High Commission in India.

She attended an Iftar party held at the Pakistan High Commission on a special invitation last year. Jyoti had shared the video of this event. She is seen interacting with Pakistani High Commission official identified Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish. It can be understood from the video that they were already acquainted. Jyoti leaked crucial information through Danish.

The government had on May 13 declared Danish as non-grata and expelled him. Investigations revealed that Malhotra developed a close relationship with Danish during her visit to Pakistan in 2023 and obtained a visa through commission agents. It is alleged that Danish introduced Jyoti to several Pakistani intelligence officials. Jyoti has shared a video of her visit to Pakistan on YouTube in 2023. Jyoti has recorded a video of herself going to every street corner of Pakistan.

Danish was there to welcome Jyoti at the event organized by the Pakistan High Commission. It was Danish who took Jyoti to the stage. It is understood from the video that they had been close before. Jyoti did not forget to express her happiness to Danish after seeing the arrangements made there. Danish introduced the other guests who attended the event to Jyoti. Danish introduced them by saying that 'they are YouTubers and vloggers'. Danish is saying that her name is Jyoti and that her channel has more than one lakh subscribers.

Danish is also seen introducing his wife to Jyoti. They can also be seen discussing Pakistan's National Day in the video. Jyoti met Rahim at the High Commission in Delhi when she went for a visa to visit Pakistan in 2023. Accommodation in Pakistan was arranged via Rahim's acquaintance Ali Ahwan. She visited Pakistan once again. Through Ali Ahwan, she met Pakistani security and intelligence officials Shakir and Rana Shahbaz.

Jyoti saved Shakir's mobile number under the name 'Jatt Randhawa' to avoid suspicion. After reaching India, she constantly contacted Pakistani officials through platforms like WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Telegram. She exchanged anti-national information. In the meantime, Jyoti has admitted to the police that she had met Rahim several times.
